How are your Toms doing?

Mine only started flowering about 10 days ago and they were all planted end of Feb/beg of March.
I keep looking for fruit but I believe patience is a virtue.

I tied bamboo canes to them yesterday as 2 had fallen over from the weight.
I'm lucky they haven't seem to have died even though the stems were slightly damaged.

No sunshine or warmth is due for at least a month according to todays 'Metro' newspaper <sigh>

having just seen your other thread, i feel compelled to ask....Are you sure they're toms? Heehee!!

None of mine are taller then about 10ins with no signs of flowers or fruit (not entirely sure what the signs of fruiting are but Im on the lookout for something that looks 'abit different'!!). The ones planted out and those still on the windowsill are slower, blowaway toms are looking best. Although the ones in the cloche are probably too soggy coz I cant seem to get rid of the condensation in there.

A few of my early-sown Gartenperle are turning yellowish - but they're nowhere near ready yet. The later sown cordons are a mixed bag, some are growing strongly with a few fruit coming, the rest are weak looking and sulking because of the weather

I've still got some sat in small pots that are meant to be planted out .......looks like I'll have to bite the bullet and get more compost and just pot them on especially as they're flowering.

My cheater, bought-with-flowers-and-fruit-on Micro Toms are carrying on nicely in the kitchen window. T'others are still in their wee pots until I find some bigger ones. Tigerella is looking a bit cranky about life, Black Cherry slightly happier.

My tigerellas and yellow tumblers are ripening slowly although all the others are slow to start

Funny that, I have an inherited tigrella (Dad grew too many) and that looks worse for wear .......

I always grow a few tigerellas, they are usually the first of mine to fruit

mine are outside and being battered by the winds and the rain so they are noy looking anygood now and going brown

Mine are about 1ft high, whereas my nans (5 mins down the road from me) are about 3ft high, and they where planted around the same time, saying that she always does better tan me with her toms, haven't figured out why!

my tomatoes are in flower and some have some small fruit... my tumbler are looking bad but they making flower and set fruit (maybe the wind considered they are in hanging basket.... only one of the tumbler is wierd... is the best lookin one and already 8 cherry tomato size and they are been like that for 3 weeks.. they are big but green...still waiting

All my plants have flowers on and the Tumbler and Alicante have some small green fruits forming.
They are all in my unheated greenhouse but looking healthy so far.
