How are your Toms doing?

I've had quite a few tigerella this week. Absolutely delicious. A few cherry toms as well.
I'm going on holiday tomorrow for 2 weeks. I have a neighbour looking after them but I am worried about the approx 80 green toms all on the vine.Likac66

I've got one Oregon Spring in the greenhouse that has 2 trusses of HOOGE tomatoes on and one tomato (it is a family sized serving) is ripening rapidly - we may be able to eat it tonight! The others are tardy - just need the sun to keep doing the "s" word.

Been away from the garden for 10 days (OH looking after things on her own).
Still not sure about the toms. Anything from outside is a bonus, so I'll ignore them for the moment. In the GH the red alerts, grown to give an early crop are now ripening, so that's a success. The rest though...
Many of the plants seem to have given up on their first hands, with only one or two toms bigger than a pinhead after several weeks. The newer hands are looking more promising, but they're still only small. Big green plants, not much fruit. I think I'm going to have to use the (organic) feed, which I was hoping to avoid.Garden Grower

Yay, the 3 tomatoes I took off their plant & left in the porch 3 weeks ago have finally ripened...
I think I need to do that to some more because they are all still green on the plants.Attached FilesChoccy
My favourite animal is steak...
Life expectancy would grow by leaps and bounds if green vegetables smelled as good as bacon.

From my Sungold and Tumbler we are now getting more than we can eat. Tomato puree for the winter.
The heritage types are still a long way from picking.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.
Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Alison, when I say a long way, I mean the toms are still very little with no sign of growth at this time.
Unless we have a big change in the weather I am looking to late Aug early Sept.
I have just remarked to SWMBO with a bit of luck these might come on as the others die off thereby prolonging the season
