I have a small Ambassador courgette from B&Q, which hasn't been doing too well compared to the other one I'm growing from seed.
Worse yet, a couple of days ago something dug it up and had a nibble at the base of the stem. It is still connected to the roots, but the bit that remains is very thin. The plant has some flower buds forming (as opposed to the one grown from seed, which has no signs of flowers despite being much bigger), so I don't feel too good about replacing it and starting over. However, if I keep it, I'm afraid its growth will be severely stunted... or will it grow new roots from the part of the stem above the bite?
