    SNUGS Flo?
Are these a new kind of pest that I have'nt heard of yet?
Should I be worried or are they just an English thing!

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

Maybe we should make a rainy day club..... They are not just for snails and slugs you know.

I am so glad I did not get an allotment this year thats all I am saying on the subject.

We've had this weather for the last 4 years now. Cold, wet & windy IS our summer, on the east Norfolk coast anyway

The last time I could ripen butternuts was ~ 2006 I think

In the South west the butternuts and their related friend all ripen ok (some too well in fact), I think this year will be different, they are in the ground refuse to grow much and are putting little flowers, so basically shouting 'get me out of here!!'

I gave them so much space it's practically take half of my plot and the bugg***s refuse to use it!

Anyone know of any outdoor rain loving veg I can start now?
