Mexican White 16ft tall with 2ft cob sweetcorn

My plants down the lottie are growing great and are twice the size of the swift plants already (opposite end of plot) but anyone tried this sweetcorn and do we get 2ft cobs in the uk.......and does it taste nice or are they just high rise insect homes on steroids.
