Brown edges and spots on french bean leaves, plants starting to droop

Some of my dwarf frenchies are beginning to look a bit sad. They're developing brown papery edges to their leaves, and getting brown spotty patches on them. I can't see any sign of aphids or anything, even when I remember to wear my glasses . Any suggestions please?

Possibly wind scorch, I think they'll be OK.

I do hope you're right capsid, and it's nothing more serious - I've got enough problems with all my other crops struggling with the weather, the slugs and the mice at the moment! I was feeling quite optimistic about the beans until now. There's certainly been plenty of wind though, so you're likely right - I hadn't thought of scorch from wind, only from sun . Thx for your suggestion.

Some of the larger leaves on my runners look very similar and that is certainly down to wind.

Snap mine do to!
At first I thought is was sun scorched but then realised we have not had any sun for a month and put it down the the mad mad winds we had up in North Wales the other week
They are looking ok now but still not getting very tall!!!

Phew, well that sounds promising. Sorry, I shouldn't be glad you're all suffering too should I, but somehow it's better to suffer in company .

The same thing happened to mine and I removed the dead leaves. Just keep at it as my dwarf beans were sllow to start and then had a huge growth spurt and are producing some lovely beans. Next couple of days I shall have my first beans from the plants

Ah, those do look quite similar to some of them TS, thanks. I've chucked a piece of fleece back over them now (ridiculous at this stage in June), just to see if it helps, because they're definitely looking sicker. I wonder if they have something else as well as scorch? It seems to be affecting one particular type more than the others at the moment, I'll have to keep an eye on them for a while I think.
