Quick question guys......One of my courgettes which is about 2" long and swelling nicely has lost it's flower, sorry if this is basic but will this affect the maturing of the fruit?

Got a picture? Basically, once the courgette has been fertilised the flower should fall off so all may be well. -

Thank you Florence..but i cany take credit for it....but mother nature will....unfortunately the flower fell off while i was at work and did not look errrm lets say 'very apetising'

Of course you can take the credit for it, you're responsible for it. I'm told the flowers are tasty if coated in tempura batter and deep fried.
