  • aspargus pea in pots....

    asparagus *

i am liking the look of this unusual looking veggie plant, first time growing it though, i have a few in different sized containers, they grow like a ground cover plant, they have really nice red wine colored flowers and you can eat the "FLUTES" which taste like aspargus and pea the leafs close up at night too,

Mmmn...been a decade for me since last growing these. To be polite to them...Interesting, fun and unusual! In honesty... just about ok(ish)to eat when very young but really best dug in as a green manure!...stringy horrid things.

I agree with Paulottie - they sound and look much nicer than they are, sadly

I've always fancied these, but I'll give them a miss I think.

I agree with Paulottie. Stringy horrid things !!! But they do look pretty, so maybe in the ornamental border
