More Cuc Confusion

what to do with the male bits!!
I am growing Long Green Ridge in the greenhouse and have read that I should remove the male flowers but as this variety can be grown outside as well I am unsure whether to cut or not.

Here is a little advice that I found...

"Pollination
Ridge (outdoor) cucumbers produce both male and female flowers. The female flowers need to be pollinated by the male flowers for cucumbers to develop. With ridge cucumbers, insects will do the job for you. Don't remove any flowers from ridge cucumbers. If the plants are being raised under cloches or poly tunnels make sure they are opened up in the warmer parts of the day to let insects get at the flowers."

This suggests that it's the type of cucumber that's important not where you grow it. It needs pollinating whether it's inside or out.
