As I had 8 siblings, you had to announce where you were going to everybody else so no-one walked in on you. I still do it today!

We still have our outside loo complete with its lead lined cistern and wooden seat, not spotted snails in there but I did find a mouse that fell in and drown.

In my garden slugs and snails will eat anything apart from eachouther.... hmmmmmmm... how about them using GM to create a slug eating snail and vice-versa...

plus i don't know if they eat fleece but they can climb easy... back in may i put on my strawberry tower some copper tape.. i was happy that the snail weren't in there but couple of night i put the fleece on top and i thought to hold in place by put the side of the fleece under the pot.. in this way they avoid the tape and i found 4 of them inside and 2 stuck on the inside fleece...

So, we still don't know whether snugs eat fleece! Unfortunately, I forgot to bring some fleece with me when I moved house today so the experiment is on hold until I can buy some more (£ shop for the last lot).
Unless anyone else would like to wrap a few snugs?

Here's a novelty. I pricked out some PSB into 6 individual small pots and the snugs ate all but one, which I rescued. I covered the pot and the plant with an onion net (don't ask me why, I haven't a clue, it must just have been to hand, as you do). I left it in the same spot as before and it hasn't been touched, so they can't climb onion netting. Now, what can I do with that bit of information I wonder?

Share it here? Oh, you already have, Thanks Flo
I shall save my onion sets from henceforth. Reminds me of my Grandmother's hairnets. Wonder if you can still buy them??

Slugs don't eat fleece; but they will get in around the stem hole and then be snuggly protected from you and predators....to munch away in a fleece cacoon

I thought that too, Paul, so the plan would be a yoghourt pot lid around the stem, weighted down with soil, inside the fleece bag! Desperate measures!!!

They climb enviromesh too LD. I wonder if it's because it's light and soft? I'm going to try it again to see what happens.

That brought back to me a mental image of my mother, in rollers, with a pink hairnet over the top.

My Nana seemed to wear a very fine hairnet all day long, and when she curled her hair she'd use pipe cleaners!
I've just realised that my hair is the same colour as Nana's was - time to buy in some pipecleaners and hairnets to complete the image!

Maybe they'll be full though after that? It's got to have more fibre in than leaves...
