Compost question

I have just opened a new bag of compost, it looks grey and mouldy.

Is it ok to use?

Yup! Just mix it up a bit, it'll only be on the surface

I bought some compost earlier in the year. It was so awful I had to sieve it. When I came to the 3rd bag it was full of mould. I took it back and got a refund. Mainly because I was having to sieve it and didn't want to breathe the mould in. Most Grapes agreed with Chris but do what makes you feel comfortable.

Safety first, if you do use it, give it a good mix up in a well ventilated area like the middle of your garden
