Best liquid feed for Toms, Q's, Squashes and Strawbs

I've been sorting through my various plant feeds and they all have various NPK ratios, admitedly they are for different things but even so, which out of the following would you use for Toms, Q's, Squashes and Strawberries?

Listed as NPK

Doff Tomato food: 2: 2.5: 4
Doff Fruit and Veg Food: 3.5: 3.5: 3.5
Or
Miracle Grow: 15:30:15 (did they just miss out the decimal to confoozle me?)


Leverington Tomorite: 4:4.5: 8 and 4: 2: 6
It gives both these amounts on the label, I don't have any of this but took the figures from online.

I don't spend any money if I can help it, and I don't want manmade chemical fertilisers either (it's a personal choice).

I use comfrey & seaweed tea for everything

well, N stands for nitrogen and promotes leaf growth, P stands for phosphurus and encourages the flowers to set and the K stands for potassium, which encourages the fruits to swell, so ideally at this time of the year you want something low in Nitrogen and High in Potassium.

So i would go for the tom food, both tommorite and doff and good ones, so you should be fine with either of them

I've used only one bottle of Tomorite this year, when I finished it I decided to try feeding only comfrey tea (as taught by the lady ^^^). Results when I harvest.

Phosphorus is for root growth isn't it?

That's what I thought until your comment encouraged me to look into it, and I got this:

phosphorus is essential for the general health and vigor of all plants. Some specific growth factors that have been associated with phosphorus are: stimulated root development, increased stalk and stem strength, improved flower formation and seed production, more uniform and earlier crop maturity, increased nitrogen N-fixing capacity of legumes, improvements in crop quality, and increased resistance to plant diseases

that's explain miracle gro P is 30...infact is good for flower... one more thing that i learn today

Having used both Miracle Grow & tomato food for many years I was not quite sure about the above NPK values so have walked down to my store to check.

Miracle Grow from the container UK NPK Declaration 24-8-16, high nitrogen for green growth.

B&Q tomato food UK NPK Declaration 4-5-8 good P for fruit set, high potash for fruit growth.
