  • First spud harvest

I'm very pleased with these and will try to find a way of doing more next year without sacrificing the growing of other veg in my limited space. They're Charlotte's by the way, put in mid-March and pulled out a few days ago.

Well done Pa, they're perfect.......is there a Sainsburys near you..!

Left my Charlottes in too long, and they're twice that size so had to halve them to cook them. We live and learn......

Didn't know about that VC! Going to stick the pic of my tray of polytunnel goodies on there that I picked today.

You have enough there to split into several entries, Vince!

Hey you're probably right VC, just put it on the Other Items thread though. Hopefully plenty more where that came from though, in the coming months.

You can't imagine how excited I was when I decided to pick my first ever aubergine! People at work would think that's weird, but I know I'm among friends here!! Been resisting temptation for a couple of weeks, but decided it was just about ready. Mrs Vince is not a fan, so whilst she's at the hairdressers on Saturday (which involves here going to her mum's nearby for lunch), I'm going to be out on the patio with my veg-fest. I'm thinking gazpacho, babaganoush and pitta, some griddled fennel, couple of glasses of ice cold Fino.....

You wouldn't like to pop over here with that lot would you Vince? Sounds just up my veggie street

                              Good looking taters there!
And I'll be in the vege fest as well.
Will I bring an aussie Chardy? or would you prefer a rose?
We could have stuffed potatoes with that lot. I could add a snow leek? As opposed to a gas leak.
