Okra from seed

    I like the idea of battered and fried, never tried that one before.

    I would probably use it in african or asian dishes with plenty of spice as a side to the main dish.

    That is, if I ever get any fruit.

      my dad is israeli and i eat lots of okra (bamya we call it there). my grandma uses the small okra (im guessing the variety called star of david) rather than the horrid long stuff we can buy here. she washes them then leaves them to dry out in the sun for a couple of hours. then she frys them for a couple of mins before cooling them and chopping them into 1cm peices. she cooks them in a mixture of tomatos, garlic, onions and a bit of water. you eat it with rice usually. yummm

        Sounds absolutely delicious. I have about 3 fruit on each plant now. Dont know if they will come to anything but here is hoping
