I have planted in the last week:
kale - "fizz" which I a can use as baby salad leaves while it's young,
    "hungry gap" kale,
    Perpetual spinach
    Cardinal red spinach
    April Cabbage
    Flower of Spring cabbage
    peas (for pea shoots)
onion seeds - Ailsa Craig, Senshyu Yellow and another that I can't remember!

I barely have space as the blowaways are full of tomatoes but I started sowing again a few days ago. I sowed Senshyu Yellow and Paris Early White seeds though I'll be getting some overwintering onion sets as well as backup (am still not convinced by growing onion from seed ), plus some Dragon's Tongue oriental mustard, Mizuna, and winter radish, mostly bought from Real Seeds as per their "what to sow now" list. My aim is to have the plot working most of the year, although that may be optimistic - I can't bear empty beds.

Then later on I'll plant garlic and shallots saved from my harvest this year plus overwintering onion sets.

How long do shallots take to grow? I like them in winter stews & may give them a go.

Life expectancy would grow by leaps and bounds if green vegetables smelled as good as bacon.
