    Goodness! Those cylincrical ones are enormous.

    Do they have less of a woody core with them being that shape?

    My (first ever) beets this year have changed my opinion of them almost 180º!

    One here is like a cricket ball, but was still delicious. They will definitely be grown again next year (unless I can get another sneay row in this year before winter).

      some were a bit woody but not too much. once pickled they are nice and soft got to leave them a month or so for the flavours to come out
