What a twit.
This year I'm growing a new variety of white beans for drying and for some reason assumed they'd be dwarf like the cannellino from last year. White beans = dwarf
And of course they are climbers. So instead of climbing, they've just gone flop. Result (I guess) reduced yields from these beans and also from the flageolet and red kidney who have been rampaged all over!.
This is very embarassing as these Tarbais beans are the local cassoulet bean grown in every garden around here. Up poles.
So not only am I the mad English woman who grows veg in beds surrounded by paths and takes in the local feral kittens but who now also tries to grow her Bigourdan beans along the ground.
Any other idiots out there?
