This year was the first year I've decided to grow winter(ish) veg. This weekend I have cleared out an old veg plot and filled with lots of veg that I grew from seed sown about mid august (except from the red cabbage which i rescued from the clearance section of my local garden center).
The plot is about a 2.5m square and starting from the red cabbage I planted 4 rows of cos lettuce, 2 rows of spring onion, 2 rows of Kohl Rabi and 3 rows of Pak choi. I then created the netting structure, not only to keep the birds off but also stop the cats using the bed as a toilet.
