I grew Shallot Jermor overwinter and although I got a good harvest (70 modest shallots from 9 sets) I have to say, I don't like the taste at all. I may be spoilt by my onions (overwintered Senshyu and summer Golden Bear F1) but they lacked the sweetness of the onions. Even when cooked in a stew and as soft as anything they were tasteless or even slightly bitter.
