  • gaps in my potatoes

I have a lovely row of potatoes which have sprouted beautifully - with a 4 foot gap in!!! Several potatoes in a row haven't come through ! I've dug around and theres no sign of them!
Any ideas what I could put in the gap which would be ok to plant with potatoes, or is it not too late to bung in some more seed potatoes (if theres still any around to buy!)?

Or you could plant peas - according to Bob Flowerdew peas grow well with potatoes.

Potatoes don't 'disappear' Unless you can find the original seed potato and ascertain whether its rotted, I wouldn't give up on them yet! Some tatties take quite a bit longer than others to break the surface! If you find they have rotted, there's still plenty of time to put other tatties in there place!
