Hi,
I am a young gardener and i grow a variety of things from flowers to plums!
I have found with my tomato plants when watering the key is to target the ROOTS and not the plant leaves as the water especially in greenhouses scorches the leaves and consequently in my opinion will produce a poor crop, Also to speed things up a bit i use some plant food which works well, Fair enough by no means am i organic, but i cant see any harm in using a bit of harmless chemical in my crops...
Also for the advice of others watering is best done at night as if watering is done first thing at morning the water is left and may scorch plants. (as i found with my herbs last year)
