I was giving up on brassicas this year (too many pests) but have just bought some fleece stuff off our local Organic Gardeners Society for - get this - 30 pence a metre.

has anybody used wire mesh?

I'm still trying to decide how do do my brassica protection, and was toying with the idea of making a cage out of fine wire mesh (holes are 6mm - about 1/4 of an inch square)

what do you think?
