  • Sad day today

    Last of this years toms picked today and the plants removed from the GH. Only salad stuff in there now till next season.

    Sometimes I could wish my life away waiting for next year.

    I've only got 2 sun gold plants left in mine - the majority came out a couple of weeks ago!

      For one dreadful moment I was worried about you Potty All my tomatoes came out weeks ago but I have plenty to eat as they're still ripening indoors.
      I do have a few plants that I started very late that are flowering but I don't hold out much hope for them. Some fruiting tomatilloes too. Roll on spring

        I've got just one tom plant left but by the looks of it that will be coming out tomorrow then I'll fill the gap with a couple of Arctic king lettuces.

              I don't buy tomatoes through the winter - not unless they smell like tomatoes. It may seem strange to see this crazy woman sniffing her way around the tomatoes but, I just have to do it

                              The Wheel by W B Yeats

                              Through winter-time we call on spring,
                              And through the spring on summer call,
                              And when abounding hedges ring
                              Declare that winter's best of all;
                              And after that there's nothing good
                              Because the spring-time has not come ---
                              Nor know that what disturbs our blood
                              Is but our longing for the tomb.

                              One of my favourite poems...
                              Location - Leicestershire - Chisit-land
                              Endless wonder.
