I've just seen a tweet that cites JBA as quoting seed potato shortages owing to very wet weather this year. No surprise I suppose but for those who order from there, you might want to be on the ball in terms of order timing.

I think it's just going to mean that not everybody will get all the seed of all the varieties they'd like so be prepared to make a few changes if need be. Somewhere else on the internet it said that overall there should be no noticeable shortage. -

Good outfit JBA and good of them to forewarn us. JBA have already advised that some varieties have been removed from the market and will no longer be available from any source. Maybe worthwhile checking availability of your favourite varities now so that you can if necessary set some of them aside for seed before you eat them all.Last edited by Aberdeenplotter; 06-12-2012, 07:52 AM.Comment
