Seed addiction. Who else suffers?

Agree with Glutton4. I don't really suffer so much from seed addiction as rejoice in it. New variety? Bring it on. Excellent blight-resistance? Must have it. Flowers prolifically from from April to November? Here's my credit card.
My particular weakness though is the free ones that come with magazines. I know perfectly well that I will never grow ageratum or giant sunflowers and I already have enough lettuce seeds to re-forest the Amazon, but equally I can't bring myself to just bin them. So I tuck them away carefully 'just in case they come in useful'.
That said, I opened a cupboard yesterday and dozens of seed packets fell on my head, so I *may* have overdone it a touch...

This will be my second year at growing your own and I've already got quite a collection of seeds. Some will be used almost straight away while others I'm keeping in case I want to try them. I've got a few seed catalogs that I want to go through so god knows what I'll have when spring arrives.

I hardly needed any this year, I just wanted to find a particular sort of bean which failed miserably last year so I had none to save seed from. Unfortunately, the only place I could find them was Graines Bameaux (sp?), and I can't even bring myself to think about how much they've cost, let alone confess it to you lot The other half will be justifiably cross when he finds out, we're pretty skint atm...

Eating breakfast on Christmas morning I found a melon seed in my pre-packed fruit platter. I couldn't bear to throw away a single solitary melon seed, I've not got much hope in it but it's in the seed box all the sameRemember it's just a bad day, not a bad life 😁
