Today they look a bit poor because it has been raining for a week or so and we didn't have light at all. Anyway, they seem to be getting there. They are Black Krim, Black Cherry & Gardener's delight tomato plants.
My first batch of toms, sown 12 Feb are all looking reasonably good considering the pants weather. Slowly planting them in the borders of the greenhouse.
First time for growing that variety, they are lovely strong sturdy plants and have started flowering - I love them already and I haven't tasted them yet!
My tiddly lean-to greenhouse has only got room for 4 plants - but they've been in a week and are still alive - 1 x Moneymaker, 1 x Green Zebra, 1 x Belle and 1 x Latah. A Tumbling Tom and a Sungold are in a hanging basket and pot respectively in the shed-with-the-plastic roof. Not sure what to do with the other 20 plants still crowding the windowsills... some are destined for outside hanging baskets, some for outdoor containers but it is still way too cold and windy here.
My Autumn 2016 blog entry, all about Plum Glut Guilt:
Just realised that the last time I posted in this thread all of my January tomatos were half dead. Well a bit of good news, one Marmande made it through Here he is with some of his little brothers and sisters who were sown in March
This is my first year but I have a tumblr with about 5 beautiful yellow flowers so far, about 15-20 'red robins' all developing flower buds, my 2 Gardener's delight are just starting to flower, and then I have a sunbaby, alisa craig & a shirley who are romping away nicely, oh and a flowering tonado tooo. and then just the 12 beefsteaks which are still inside but growing fast!
