For me its GRAPES! Did peaches last year, childs play, did that got the tee shirt to prove it..........but grapes, now thats another matter.
Don't get me wrong, i did have grapes last year but they were the size of blackcurants and only three bunches.
Today, I have loosened off the long cane that I trained up to the eves of greenhouse and suspended it about six inches below the glass on a diagonally mounted cane. I then tied the grape cane to the cane, cane, (if you see what I mean?

I can already see the new buds starting to form.

This year I will have large bunches of grapes hanging from the eves of the greenhouse (or at least thats the plan)

I find brassicas a bit of a chore spite having a brassica tent! My plot was partially underwater most of the year......

Beetroot sweetcorn and peas also challenged me and won!

Here's hoping for a sunny year with regular but limited rainfall........at night!

And for my second wish...........where's Jeanied when you need her.......

      Loving my allotment!

For me its pretty much what everyone else has said.

Would mind actually getting some courgettes from the plants (we planted out 20 plants last year and got no courgettes at all! )

I would love to grow tomatillos - I've managed plants but no fruit before! 2013 will be lucky for them!
        I know it

            Carrots - again!

In 6 years I have only managed to grow one edible carrot. One!
I've got mesh tunnels this year and a lot of determination!

              Sweet Potatoes

Out of 10 plants I managed to get 1 very small tuber.....I could have had about a tea spoon of sweet potato mash!

On the plus side I have managed to keep some of the cuttings alive and sprouted some of the larger roots so I hopefully wont have to buy any new plants.

We've cracked celeriac this year, I'm thrilled to say - decent size and taste fab.

It's carrots for me. Carrots carrots carrots. And we all love them...it's most annoying. At least I'm not alone.

Probably we just got incredibly lucky, but this year we had carrots up the wazoo, and it was our first year with an allotment and the first time I ever sowed vegetable seeds since I was a kid. Literally rows and rows, some of them about 3" across at the shoulders. And parsnips and beetroots and sweetcorn - rows of those too. (Pity that I subsequently discovered I don't like beetroot....)

However, we didn't get a single swede, only two of the ten asparagus crowns came up and pigeons ate all the purple sprouting broccoli, kale and savoy cabbages. NOW I get why we were told to net brassicas in winter.... sigh.

This year my ambitions are swede again, caulis and celeriac. Haven't the guts to try celery yet.

Oh, in that case it is definitely swede. :-)

Mmmm... mashed swede with lots of butter and black pepper.... *dribbles*
