  • Has anyone used Midland Seed Co for online seed orders?

Hi, this company happens to have a good selection of the seeds I want to order so was just wondering if anyone has used them and what they thought of their service/delivery times?

    Thanks a lot

Not heard of them before Redser, but their seeds look good and are reasonably priced. I didn't check out delivery prices - I'll pop back in when I have time.

      65p on seeds (delivery).

The first thing I look for is their defra registration number, and I can't even see it on their site after looking through a couple of links. There's no 'About Us' page, either.. For a limited company selling seeds this for me is enough for me not to order.

Individual wise, well that's a different story If they're nice people - volia!

Thanks both of you. Their prices do seem very good and they do have the F1 seeds was looking for. There were only 5 comments on amazon, 3 good, 2 bad. Was surprised that some of their seed group pages were empty, parsnips for example. That got my spidey senses tingling. Hmmm.

They do take payment by Paypal though, so if you end up having a dispute you'll definitely get your money back

Well, I'm ordering, so we'll soon see - they have carrot seeds I haven't seen anywhere else, and I do actually need carrot seeds... Paying through Paypal so shouldn't be too risky

I'm going to give them a bash too rather than order from several different companies. Touch wood they are reliable. Will let you know.

Not that it necessarily means anything, but they could do with someone to proof read their website, I found several spelling mistakes.

It does smack of amateur which doesnt give confidence. But on the whole there is a lot of work gone into the site.

Had a look seems strange some veg are not stocked eg 15 varieties of broccoli but no radish. Could always email and ask for defra number? Tip I learnt from someone was to put company name and word review into Google and see what comes up. Only thing I could find were Amazon reviews. If was really bad would bring up loads!

I would never order from a company I hadn't heard of that didn't have a phone number. I have had far too many bad experiences.

Try looking at review websites like trust pilot.

I use a big garden internet company for my seeds and have never had an issue. I also get discount vouchers and offers by email so always use them.

I've vaguely remember seeing the name around where I live, but I can't remember where.

Payment via PayPal so any problems, you should be able to get your money back.

That was my conclusion hamesy, if the seeds don't turn up, Paypal will refund so nothing lost but a bit of time
