Anyone got any suggestions on what to grow around a perimeter fence? I'm in the process of finishing off a fence around the plot and want to use it to grow something up. The fence will only be a meter high and made from chicken wire.

what ever you grow will go next door, plus what would they say about things growing on their side, also it would have to be something on the lighter side,as the wire would collaps, perhaps some climbing flowers like nasurtians, sweet peas, all good as long as they don't over grow next door, might it cause a problem long term,we have a wooden ranch style,i plan to put general annuals around, not only to try keep the weeds down, but encourage the bees ext, sigpicAnother nutter ,wife, mother, nan and nanan, love my growing places, seed collection and sharing, also one of these

If you only want something on a temporary basis, try tall variety nasturtiums. Bring pollinators in.Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better...Albert Einstein

Thanks for the suggestions. I don't think I will have a problem with the neighbours, my plot is surrounded by paths.
I do like the idea of the kelvedon wonder peas or even some nasturtiums, so I will have a think over the next couple of weeks
