Will these germinate?

Last night I had some dinner which included 2 chillies ( I think you all know where this is going ) I got the seeds and chucked them in a pot and compost then covered!

No drying of the seeds nothing just straight out of the chilli into the compost will they germinate or rot I have my growing chillies sown just and experiment really

When I was sowing my tomatoes I realised I had forgotten to buy chilli seeds at the same time.
I still had a cayenne pepper plant growing with peppers on it so I stripped out some seeds and sowed them. I now have half a dozen cayenne pepper plants.

The downside was that when I got back home we have a fingerprint recognition entry system which sometimes workes better if you lick your finger. Not recommended, after you forgot you were stripping pepper seeds!

I potted them up I always do it on the kitchen floor as its easy to sweep any spillages up
