Apache Potatoes

I've bought a few Apache Potatoes from T***O, well they looked so interesting I couldn't resist! - I am going to give them a try, as all my spuds in large pots. - Anyone tried this varierty? which I understand to be a Second Early or Early Maincrop.




Might go well with the Cherokee Trail of Tears Beans ??

I've eaten them - they're an Albert Bartlett spud and they're taster.

Had some in wilcos today but I resisted due to having far too many seed spuds already!

Sounds like they have sprayed with growth retardent to me VC.

Not 100% sure on this but I was told that some of the formula's used actually penitrate the skin of the spud.

Which is a bit worrying when you're eating them. I'm short enough now...........

Ah but some of us like petite VC, remeber SWMBO's only 5ft and a half inch and don't anybody forget that half inch.

I may even be an inch taller than SWMBO but I don't want to get any shorter. I hate looking through armpits to see what's happening

Back to potatoes..........
One of my friends at the lottie gave a few of us a few each to try in the summer ..mine chitted unlike the others and we ate them christmas day
They did take a while to get going tho'..

Just like SWMBO and then turn round with a sweet smile and apologise profusely. I have seen guys hopping on one foot and apologising right back to the lovely little lady that has just speared their instep.

Sometimes have to turn away and have a little smirk.
