I like cottagers kale cos it has flat leaves which makes it easier to scrub off the white fly marks ....this looks interesting as well again from real seeds - Huauzontle (Aztec Broccoli )

Once upon a time I had a perennial cabbage - grown from a cutting - and I had it for years. Whether it was the much fabled Daubenton's kale or not I don't really know. But I'd like to grow it again - or something similar. I acquired several different kales from the HSL and seedswaps last year and I'm going to give them all a go this year. I'd like to grow them in amongst the apple trees - as free standing plants, to wander through - perhaps lining a path. There'll be a clump of Babington's in there too
Looking at the Pennard seeds I may get their mixed packets too, I don't think I have Cottager's kale in my stash yet
Looking forward to a spring of Walking stick whittling
