growing ginger and horseradish for the first time

Hi all

Have any of you out there grown either ginger or horseradish? Once (hopefully) growing, would you harvest the whole plant, or just take some of it? I was thinking of potting the ginger and keeping in my greenhouse as presume the plant prefers warm conditions?

Any advice much appreciated.

If you plant horseradish in open ground you'll never get rid of it.

Hmmmmm. DEFFO putting it in a pot after reading that. Bought mine from Wilkos, so was cheap.
