  • Empty plots in Gloucester

I am surprised by the number of empty plots on our site, we are into our third year and the plot next to ours has not been touched, I believe that someone did take on half but only visited it the once. I can count four other plots that appear to be derelict on the site, they may have tenants but are not worked.

These plots have clearly been vacant for a number of years and will now require a good season of hard work to return into production. We took 6 months over the winter to clear the whole plot but were able to develop it as we cleared.

I am wondering if they are not in a fashionable area of he City ?? could it be that onsite parking is limited although 2 dedicated spaces are being developed

The other plot holders are friendly, the site is secure, as is possible and there is now a water supply,

If you live in Gloucester and want a plot please ask the council for alternative locations to the one you are on the list for, if not for any other reason than to keep us company.

Are you down at whitecroft or parkend, or somewhere else. I had a look at the whitecroft ones a year or so ago, but realised I dont have time at the moment. Would love an allotment in a few years tho.
