I have managed to source approx 2 tonnes of fresh tree chippings from a kind tree surgeon. It is walnut and pine which will be going on my paths between my raised beds. It will be spread over weed membrane. My question is approx how long should i expect it to take to break down and what good uses should it put to. Cheers

If you can separate it, the pine will make great mulch for any blueberry bushes you may have or any acid loving plants, besides that you may find you have to keep topping up areas every year, it all depends how much it gets walked on. I don't lift it when it has rotted, I just put fresh on top.sigpic“Gorillas are very intelligent, but they don't have to be as delicate as chimps -- they can just smash open the termite nest,”
