Sowing into the ground now?

Apart from my broad beans and shallots is there anything i can sow straight into the uncovered soil this week??

I heard the weather is going to go back into the -'s next week here in the valleys dont want to jump the gun!

If it's going to dip back into the negatives, then I'd hold off - nothing is going to germinate in frozen ground!

Yeah thats what I thought I just dont want to fall behind with the sowing and I think the last few days has me fooled with that bright thing in the sky

Nah, late sowing tend to catch up anyway, with the increased warmth and light levels - I only have 1 tomato this year, I normally have 15-20 odd by this time.. I'll be sowing them shortly!

I have my early sowing of toms on a window sill wont ever be doing that again as they got turfed out from under the lights for my peppers and chillies!

I do still have a minibel tom under the lights that are now throwing out flowers

I think it's too early to direct sow anything at the moment and even the likes of my shallots and broad beans are in modules in the greenhouse.

Looking at the forecast, if it can't go on a window sill or in the GH it will just have to wait.

Sowed Leeks , Parsnips and Carrots in the early spring sun shine today

I was tempted to put in a few early carrots today, I have a couple of those little clear plastic tunnels, so I thought I might chance a couple of rows and keep them under those for the next few of weeks
