San Marzano or Roma

Hi, it's probably been discussed before but I want to sow a plum tomato specifically for sauces and passata, and I'm wondering if people have an obvious preference between these two? I can get Roma seeds easily but will have to order San Marzano. Any reasons why you like one over the other, like taste, suitability, growth habit, reliability?

I love both and I would say to use your Roma seeds first.

When i tried roma,it did just that and took over,must have done something wrong,I grow san marzano,also scatalone,we like them just sliced up and frozen,ideal to add to anything,or to accompany an omelette or on toast,

I'm growing San Marzano for the first time this year along with my usual Amish Paste be interesting which of the two I like best.

We tried both last year for passata-making and probably lean towards Roma, though San Marzano was good too.

I'll have a look through the seedbox later, and if I've got any San Marzano left, you're welcome to what's there.

SM seems to get blossom end rot easier than Roma, well it always does here.
I prefer Rio Grande to either of those two though
