turbo onions help please!!!!!

Hi all first post
i have purchased 150 turbo onion sets from wilkinsons, i do not have the room to plant all of them and have around 50 over, can i keep them till next year? or should i discard or give away ? rather than waste.

Plant them closer together, and harvest alternate ones smaller leaving the ones you have got space for to go full term.

If you grow in blocks rather than rows you can get 3 times as many in the same area.

As zazen says,plant closer together in a block,say 5 or 6 in all ways,if you have space between other crops,do the same,between rows of carrots,groups in between strawberries,you will be suprised how many you will get in,

try sticking some in some pots, also pretty much anywhere between plants in borders etc, they might not get as big but at least you'll get something and not waste them. Think 'old fashioned cottage garden' flowers and veg together

Spacing allowed for most plants including onions are very generous follow the others advice and plant closer together.

I would love to come along the problem i have is, i have just had a major operation, ie appendix/large bowel and colon, and walking right now is very tiring, if i feel up to it by then, well hell yes i will be

If you plant em REALLY close to each other you can use them as spring onions once the foliage has grown a bit. The old 'husk' just peels off!
