    You can also make scaffolding into permanent T bars for bamboo supports, no string needed then. Saw something similar on BBC GW's allotment programme.

        have any of you tried using build a balls and netting for beans? I have a pack which I haven't allocated yet and wondered whether they would do?

            spring onions sounds like a plan, do u have to grow them from seed? am i too late?

              No Wizer you are never to late for spring onions. They don't take long to grow so make a sowing each month. If you sow now they should be ready at the start of July.

              I should add you need to sow the seed thinly directly into the ground.
