  • What are you doing this weekend?

Well there might still be snow on the ground and the temp isn't set to rise above 5deg but I still plan to get stuff done.

I plan to sow PSB, leeks, calabrese and lettuce in the greenhouse. If the temps do raise slightly I might transfer some broad beans and peas out into the coldframe if they are big enough.

I have some onion sets in the coldframe so they might come out.

And if the snow lifts I will put down some fleece to try to warm some soil at the allotment and maybe take the big storage box down.

Oh please, please, let me get some jobs done!

This weekend I shall mostly be not down the plot as I shall be somewhere between Bradford and Bingley enjoying my other hobby but I am not looking forward to the snow camping!

I'm hoping that the people we invited to stay this weekend can't make it, so that I can spend lots of time down the new allotment.

Not much this weekend with regards to gardening. Soil temp at the moment is about 3`C usually at this time of year you would expect about 6 to 7`C

Not much! Well tis daughter and I at home. So there will be some riding. Some chook sorting. Some dog walking maybe.
And I will do some gardening. Depends if my seeds have arrived. The green manure ones are at the Post office as we speak. Hoping the veg ones will be there today.

And a glass of wine will be had admiring the view in autumn!

Even if its freezing I will need to go to the lottie. Too many jobs to do to miss out on another weekend! Can break up the last of the pallets and make some more edged beds. If the ground is not totally frozen then ill stick in my broadies ( pot grown outside so quite hardy!)
If it ain't broke...fix it til it is!
