I'll be trying to keep my early sown tomatoes and chillis alive without them getting leggy from being in the warm indoors..

They've been in an out of an unheated conservatory all week, but the space is needed this weekend as we have people coming over.

          1) I have 120+ box plants to put in the front garden, after I've removed dozens of grasses, lavenders, shrubs. Those are going to the lotty and to the school gardens.

          2) And have another 8 feet of couch grass to fork out before the pretty flowers can go in. Mind you, the pretties haven't even germinated yet, so no rush.

          3) 2 new water butts to be fitted at school

          4) daleks to be turned

          5) training wires to be fixed to the garage wall to train the Climbing Iceberg to. At the moment there are lethal 9ft spiny stems flapping around in the wind

Lottie - shifting water container to where the compost bin was [now that we don't have a permanent compost area we can shift stuff around!].

Sowing seeds for Pharma's Market in May.

Generally doing stuff around the house or garden if this snow actually stops!

I've just realised that it's Easter this actual weekend - so 2 more days than I had expected.

                Yay!

Trip to Lakeland & John Lewis which was put off from last weekend (this is an excuse to have a mooch around Nottcutts GC just down the road).

Empty the horrible pallet compost bin onto this year's spuds beds, put the un-composted stuff in the new dalek composters.

Dismantle the bin & take to the tip.

Pull the first rhubarb. maybe. Can't believe it is so late!

Tonnes of jobs to do in the garden/greenhouse, some of which are weather dependant.
I'll still try to plant the remainder of my spuds that are going in tubs. The ones in the ground will have to wait....
Lots more sowing in the greenhouse (peas, and brassicas).

                    Also to fit in are:
-taking my daughter to a birthday party on Saturday lunchtime and a Sunday roast at the in-laws (on Sunday ).

All with the impending arrival of our second child which is due 4th April!!

.....and don't forget to eat copious amounts of chocolate!!

It's too cold to do much gardening!

Finishing my cold frame - I'm really hoping the polycarbonate for it will arrive before Sunday so I can get going with the seeds I want to start out there. If not, I may have to start some things indoors and move them out when I can. I also need to put together some kind of a plan for this year's garden and do a seed inventory. And then probably go seed shopping!

Fingers crossed will finish weeding, digging and tidying the allotment this weekend so long as the ground's dried out enough. Also partying with the in-laws so probably nursing a monster hangover which won't be as much fun as I'm only just getting over concussion!!

Hopefully i will be down the lottie covering it in weed fabric, someone kindly gave me loads.

Hopefully that will start the soil warming up a bit.
