  • weekend project

    very happy with my efforts in constructing a cloche for my raised bed. this will be fitted to raised bed via hinges.

                It was sort of a grow bag thing, you could fill up with compost, like a cheap raised bed, but a bag. Don't worry, if you can't remember, it probably got lost on the way.

                      Great job H, how wide is it as I was thinking it maybe a little too wide to reach the back of the bed if you put hinges on or maybe you have ape arms like mine............

                        it will go across my beds which are 1.2 m (4ft) wide. ive run out of timber now. my beds are 4.5 m long

                        i will be fitting it in the morning so i will post a pic

                              Howdy,

                              That does look good. I made one very similar a fortnight ago using polythene sheeting. I can't work out whether that's what you've got on the top?!?! The rain ended up being caught on the top and the weight of it caused the plastic to sag therefore collecting more and more water. As a result i have used blue water pipe inside as hoops to stop the water pooling. Worth a thought on yours?
