    Squash is good - I'm trying out an Oca intercrop with the Sweetcorn this year having taken a look at the below previously (there's another entry doing the same with Tomatoes / Oca)

        You could sow spinach or mustard between the rows as suggested by Gertrud Franck http://www.growfruitandveg.co.uk/gra...eme_63459.html That way you get to eat some of your intercrop, as well as being able to cut it down and create mulch.

          Yes, I use poached egg plants on the "flower" side of the garden because there I don't like to see bare soil, and to attract the bees and hoverflies, which love it. I've used it as an over-winter mulch too.
