Darcy - This fairy light plant took AGES to flower and fruit last year, I dont think I was picking ripe fruit off this plant until October last year!

I am feeding chilli focus one weekend, then a spray with epsom salts the following weekend.....

I also found a few green aphids on the plants this morning, I will investigate further after work!

My Numex Twilight were late flowering and producing last year too Darcy, so they will get there..I was taking chillis off them in November IIRC.........
Lovely colourful plants to look at and had a nice kick to them too..Didn't bother with them this year as had too many others I wanted to try...

my numex twilight are also by far the slowest plants this year.

They have loads of tiny buds about to open though...

post 155 of mine (1st pic) shows the fairy light plant which was sown on 10th March last year.

for those interested, here is a picture of what the plant looked like throughout the winter. Whilst kept in the hallway.

On the day I took this photo, it was nice and warm in the g/h, so I took the plant out there for the day....

Quite a bit different in just several weeks or so...

But the weather last year was pretty poor. Everything was behind. I'd happily write the year off for sun loving plants, as they were never going to be great. Personally I only had real success with established plants in their 2nd+ season, and even they took ages to get going. Twilight is a slow one though. And shallow rooted (I had mine in a deep pot, but still ended up having to stake it).

What did you do with your harvested fairy light chillies?

Hi guys, my brother give me this chilli plant when it was around three weeks old, probably due to the fact that out of the 9 plants he had this one had a leaf falling off(which it now has). It was planted in February. When it's sunny I leave her outside but recently that hasn't been a lot due to rubbish weather so I leave her on my windowsill near the radiator. I only only just bought a new bigger pot for her 2 days ago which I think I should of done sooner as I feel it should be bigger and also flowering by now. I water her pretty much when the soil seems to be drying out(roughly 3 times a week) and also i have just bought some tomato plant food for it which i think i should use when i see flowering. Any advice about when you guys think my plant will flower and an tips would be greatly appreciated as I've got the chilli bug already and spend most of my time thinking about my plant(the girlfriend is getting jealous lol)

As annoying as they are (and as worrying as it sounds) there was something rather relaxing about the half hour spent in the GH at 5.00am armed only with a large mug of tea and a grim determination to squish the little b*ggers!

I take it all back... I just had another check and the little s*ds are on the cukes and the over wintered chillis too.

I really must make a spray up and go at it with some gusto tomorrow. The overwintered chilli plants are huge and it will take me hours to check every single leaf and bud!

I even considered buying some ladybird larvae as I haven't seen any around recently but that seems like quite an expensive resort!

Ok some assistance needed, I was gifted a ghost chilli earlier in the year, and its been growing away merrilly in the greenhouse, it now has a few decent sized green chillies on it. So I looked up what a ghost chilli was, cos I'd never heard of it.

I'm a little concerned.....its a bit fiery!!

Normally I don't go much hotter than a jalapeno and that to be honest is a little bit too hot for me!!

So what do I do with this, do I need to handle it differently when preparing it, are there ways I can use it without wishing I'd never eaten it?

Any specialist chilli knowledge would be greatly received.

Do Not handle it bare handed for the love of god as the next time you go to the loo scratch your nose etc you will be in agony
