Can I sow tagetes in the same pots as my toms?

Or do they need to be in a separate pot? Ditto basil - I've currently got some small pots next to the toms, but could I stick them in the same pot as well?

Depends on how big your pots are.

Lol, OK I guess I asked for that one RL . The pots are buckets, 11 litres I think.

Sorry Kathy. I was just thinking that if your tomatoes are still in small pots then the answer would probably be no.

I would raise tagetes and basil from seed in small pots, same as tomatoes, then when you do your final potting up into the buckets you could put a few basil and tagetes in with the tomato.
