  • Blow away as a cold frame?

I've acquired 3 1m Sq raised beds and planed to stack them, put glass on top and use it as a cold frame. However I do already have a blow away. So, I know it's probably a daft question but can a blow away be used successfully as a cold frame or is my plan to use this wood a good idea? I don't have the space or need for new beds right now

I think the best use for a blowaway is as a cold frame. It will need to be anchored well though, or it really will blow away.

Im actually doing both with my beds (they are raised 1ft but not filled in). I have a lid on 2 to use as a low coldframe and Im using a blowaway cloche on another. I did have to attach wire to the wood though and run it over the cloche to stop it flying away!

A blowaway IS a cold-frame. It certainly isn't a greenhouse (not insulating enough)
