yellow tomato seedlings?

anyone got any help for me on this one?

I have some 4 week old tomato seedlings on the windowsills of a light, unheated conservatory, in which the leaves have gone pale and yellowish, with what looks like purplish veins. They are all Johnsons brand Outdoor Girls and I think in a mix of Westland grosure seed compost and a little Westland peat free mpc (which was rubbish, incidentally).
I have another 5 or 6 tomato varieties in exactly the same compost and situation that don't appear the same and look perfectly healthy

Anyone got any idea what is going on? Nutritional deficiency in such young seedlings?

(I gave them a little dilute organic tomato feed today to see if that perked them up a little)

Can you post a picture of a leaf please,it may help identify the problem

Personally I wouldn't have 4 week old seedlings in seed compost. If they take off and start their growing cycle there will not be enough nutritional value in the compost.

um, can't work out how to upload photos from my phone to here...

They look the same size and just like regular tomato seedlings, but the leaves are pale and yellowish and the veins purple/brown.

Potty, I take your comment re seed compost, its just all the other varieties look quite happy in it so far

I have just repotted all my tomatos ,chillis and aubergines as they stopped growing after the first set of proper leaves and were starting to yellow.These were planted in westland peat free mpc (award for best compost from which).the bag was full of fungus gnats ,won't be buying it again.About half the chillis have gone to the great con carne in the sky ,the remainder are showing signs of growth,the tomatos have greened up and immmediately put out new growth within 5 days.

Re-pot them in some decent multipurpose compost.

Thanks all. I think I'll re-pot. Off to get some Miracle-Gro peat destroying compost then
