It is, really. Just mind you don't confuse sideshoots with flower trusses. The sideshoots grow in between where a leaf joins the main stem.

It really helps if you watch the video on full screen too.

You could always leave the sideshoots till they get around 6" long, pinch them off & plant them...........extra tomato plants.........

          still a tad confussed.

thank you all so much ; even after watching the videos and i thought i had it all figured out, looking/feeling my own plants, i am still a bit confused so ive taken a photo of me holding one or two of them, perhaps someone could point out which ones the sideshoots are/if there are any, ive taken a few (what i am hoping are) sideshoots, they're still smallish plants but i dont want them wasting energy as they are late anyway!

Oops, sorry IV, I hadn't realised that they were plants - I thought you were holding sideshoots that you'd removed
Your plants are still small - I wouldn't remove anything at this stage. The bits in the red squares are the growing tips - deffo keep those!!

That's a sideshoot I'm touching. A good size to remove it too, not too big, not too small. But if you want to make a new plant from it you would leave it grow a few inches. Hope it helps

They really are very small plants at the moment, far too small to be thinking about removing sideshoots. Definitely don't need feeding yet, they look healthy and the pots are plenty big enough for them. You don't start feeding until the flowers set.
