Aralia Cordata also known as Japanese Spikenard or Mountain Asparagus. Its shoots are eaten in spring like asparagus and it can grow in the shade. It's herbaceous and puts on loads of growth each year when mature.

I've a little plant of "Sun King" which has chartreuse (I thought it was just light green ) waiting to go into a shady spot.

      P.S.

      A pdf on Udo

But I'm interested in growing more seeds/grain type things for them so this year I'm growing amaranth (the grain one) and this Aztec stuff, both from realseeds.
Im interested in this South American stuff too. Ive got Realseeds' Oca doing well and got some Huacatay(mint) which is struggling. Will have a crack with their quinoa next and this broccoli stuff you brought my attention to.
