I have only just put my 6 out - they look so tiny but needs must. I have put some old shower screens round them as a windbreak so fingers crossed! I have to get the rest of the plants currently sheltering at home onto the allotment this week as I am working away for 2 weeks and they should be in and thriving by now!

Mine are in the GH. Still got to create a suitable area for them ASAP. Having said that, we've had gales, torrential rain and cold here so probably not a bad thing. While wearing your night clothes, plant cucumbers on the 1st May before the sun comes up, and they will not be attacked by bugs.

Mine are in the greenhouse too. I am only doing minipop this year, they were fab last year and harvest sooner than the normal sweetcorn. Helpful to know about the wind, I will have to work out how to get some windbreaks sorted, but will prob cloche first for a week until the heatwave..... yeah, hope it appears!passionate about plants

If the ground is not too wet this morning I'll be putting mine out today or tomorrow - just in time for that heatwave!

Ahhh I wish I knew about thr wind. I think it killed off loads my seedlings when they were getting hardened off as it was pretty damn windy. Mine are a few inches bigger now and went out on Tuesday morning but they are not particularly sheltered.,.i won't be able to tend to them until next Thursday as I'm away fingers crossed!!!

4 in the poly are going great guns, nearly 2 feet high. They're meant to give us something to gnaw on whilst the outdoor ones are catching up....but they're still in their pots in the poly, albeit they're a good 6 inches high. They're gonna have to take their chance with the courgettes and runner beans this weekend as they're all starting to get potbound and look a bit sickly. Are y'oroight booy?

Mine have been out 2 weeks as well but are now seemingly as good as dead, gone from bright green to pale yellow mostly. I just ran out of space and bigger pots to keep them ;/
